SpookyWorks Amusements and Magician Matt Dunn team up with Severs Fall Festival to create the Twin Cities newest haunted scream park. SCREAMTOWN is located just next to the world famous Sever's Fall Festival in Shakopee, MN
7-1-07 - Construction has begun.
7-21-07 - The corn in the nightmare corn maze is absolutely
HUGE. At last measure it was approaching 8 feet tall. What started
as a very scary experience is slowly becoming TERRIFYING with every
inch the corn grows taller. "You can barely see daylight in the
Nightmare Corn Maze, even during the day", says Matt Dunn, Co-Producer of
SCREAMTOWN. "This is gonna be scary" chuckled Dr J of
SpookyWorks Amusements, SCREAMTOWN'S other Co-Producer. The Twin Cities
has not seen anything quite like this before.....ARE YOU READY?
7-24-07 - Three haunted houses and a HUGE nightmare corn maze take a lot of work to put together. With over three miles of cables for sound systems, theatrical lighting, animatronics, special fx, and more, the team has been hard at work at the new location laying the
essential groundwork for the arrival of SCREAMTOWN. The walls will start to rise under the big top tents beginning in August. Wanna be involved.....click here
7-27-07 - Have you ever wanted to work in a Haunted House, how about three of them, and oh yeah...don't forget the ridiculously large Nightmare Corn Maze. SCREAMTOWN is looking for volunteers to work the 2007 season. We need folks who LOVE Halloween, LOVE to be SCARY, and
LOVE to have FUN. Does this sound like you? Join the SCREAMTOWN family where every day is Halloween. We need volunteers for all three haunted houses, the nightmare corn maze, and park roaming actors to scare the daylights (and other bodily fluids) out of our guests. Those with previous haunted acting experience will qualify for supervisory postions. Actor orientation and training will begin in mid September so secure your spot on the team now by
clicking here. MUCHO FUNNO AWAITS-O
8-17-07 -If you happen to drive by our location (Next to Canterbury Park and Severs Fall Festival) you will see a new facade on the horizon. This is the entrance to SCREAMTOWN. Magician Matt Dunn and his "terror" team have erected a 2-story entrance of haunted bliss. The facade will begin to light up the night in a week, pictures will be posted soon.
8-19-07 -SCREAMTOWN will have ONLINE TICKETS available to purchase right here at screamtown.com. When you buy and print them online, you bypass the box office lines and head straight to the entrance, putting you into the fun faster! The online box office will be operating beginning September 3rd.
9-21-07 - WE ARE ALMOST OPEN. What was once a simple corn field has transformed into SCREAMTOWN. Looks like good weather for opening weekend, buy your tickets now online, or at the box office when you arrive. We can't wait to see you at the park.
10-01-07 - - Opening night a success. Thanks
to everyone who joined us on this very special occasion. Saturday’s heavy
rain and wind caused us to call a rain-out for Sat Sept 29th. We were
devastated to have to close that night, but we felt it was the right thing to
do. We will do our best to avoid Mother Nature’s fury, but always
watch the website for weather related updates or schedule changes.
10-27-07 - The final weekend Seems like yesterday was our opening night and now we enter our final weekend of operation for 2007. Tickets for this "last blast" are available online or at the box office when you arrive. We look forward to seeing you at the park this weekend.
